Here's a step by step procedure to control head lice using neem oil.
Step 1
The first thing to do is to saturate the head with full strength using
neem oil. Make sure that not even an inch of area is left without oil. Massage the oil well into the hair and scalp so that the neem oil gets absorbed within the scalp pores completely.
Step 2 In order to avoid the leaking oil from head, make the person being treated, lie down on floor with the head placed on a large plastic bag so that it catches hold of the running oil.
Step 3 Now let the oil absorb within the scalp for about an hour and then shampoo it nicely afterwards.
Step 4 Rinse the hair well with hot water till the time it is through with shampoo. It is necessary for the hair to remain slightly oily but that too in moderation or else it would become all the more difficult to get rid of lice.
Step 5 Now part the hair in two halves and comb off the lice eggs or nits using a metal nit comb. Tweezers too, can be used for picking the nits out and squashing them off.
Step 6 You would need to carry these oil stricken hair for at least two more days before washing them thoroughly. Once the head lice are treated, don't forget to add a small amount of neem oil within the shampoo before each wash to avoid the resurrection of head lice.
